Ontario
- Every vehicle sale needs a contract that follows the Motor Vehicle Dealers Act and its regulations.
- The contract shows the address of the place where the agreement was made.
- The Application for Transfer is on the back of the paper vehicle permit.
British Columbia
- Dealers can use electronic signatures through an e-signature program.
- That covers all agreements, finance and warranty included, not only the purchase or lease.
- Papers signed in person must be identical to the electronic ones.
